England Boss Watched Ex-England U17 Internationals Solanke, Moses, Iwobi Last Weekend
Published: August 21, 2017England boss Gareth Southgate attended three Premier League games this past weekend, the English Football Association has informed.
The Three Lions manager watched Saturday afternoon's clash between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Anfield, and saw first hand one of the most promising strikers on the planet, Dominic Solanke, make his Premier League debut.
The 19-year-old Solanke, who has turned down the advances of the Nigerian Federation to represent the Super Eagles, has been tipped to make his debut for the senior England squad in the near future.
Southgate also ran the rule over potential call-ups at the Bet365 Stadium, where Stoke City hosted Arsenal on Saturday evening.
One player definitely not in contention to be called up by the coach is ex-England U17 international Alex Iwobi, who subbed in after 79 minutes against the Potters.
Finally, Southgate visited Wembley for Tottenham Hotspur's first game at the National Stadium against Chelsea, for whom Victor Moses lasted the distance.
The Blues right wing-back starred for England at U16, U17, U19 and U21 level before he committed his international future to his country of birth, Nigeria.
