Prolific Chelsea Nigerian Striker Scores First Competitive Goal For Premier League Club
Published: August 22, 2017
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who is spending the whole of this season on loan at Swansea City, scored his first competitive goal for the Welsh side in their 4-1 rout of Milton Keynes Dons in the League Cup on Tuesday.
The England U21 international had found the net 20 minutes into his pre-season debut against Richmond Kickers back in July, but fired blanks in his first two competitive fixtures against Southampton and Manchester United.
On 71 minutes, Abraham put Swansea City 3-1 up when he found himself in the right place and tapped home an easy finish, with Ghana international Jordan Ayew providing the assist.
Seager had given MK Dons the lead in the 17th minute, but that advantage lasted only two minutes as Leroy Fer restored parity, and the Netherlands international netted his second of the evening on the hour mark.
Ayew scored Swansea City's fourth goal in the 86th minute.
