Another Injury Blow: French-Based Striker Pulls Out Of Cameroon Squad To Face Nigeria

Angers SCO striker Karl Toko Ekambi will miss Cameroon's double header against Nigeria early next month after initially making the 23-man roster announced on Friday, August 25.
Angers SCO manager Stéphane Moulin stated at a press conference on Friday that Ekambi has been receiving treatment since Wednesday after suffering a training ground injury the previous day.
Cameroon coach Hugo Broos received the bad news after including the 24-year-old in his squad list, and he had to replace him with Union de Douala star Frantz Pangop.
Though Frantz Pangop has yet to make his debut for Cameroon's A team, he helped the so-called B team qualify for the 2018 African Nations Championship.
Broos could not count on the services of former Tottenham Hotspur attacker Clinton N'Jie for the games against the Super Eagles due to injury.
