Iwobi & Akpom Among Ten Nigerian Players Named In Arsenal's Premier League Squad

As many as ten players of Nigerian descent, including Iwobi's childhood pal Chuba Akpom, have been selected by manager Arsene Wenger in the Gunners squad list submitted to the Premier League before 4pm on September 1.
Seven U21 players of Nigerian parentage are eligible to be fielded by the Frenchman in the English top-flight after the first international break of the 2017-2018 season.
They include England youth-teamers Xavier Amaechi and Tolaji Bola, highly-rated midfielder Folarin Balogun, Aaron Eyoma, James Olayinka, Tobi Omole and Joseph Olowu.
Flying Eagles skipper Kelechi Nwakali has been loaned out to VVV Venlo for the entirety of the season but still made the list.
Hale End Academy product Chuba Akpom was listed as a homegrown player, while Iwobi has been classified as an U21 player.
