Tammy Abraham Will Consider Playing For Nigeria If He Is Not Cap-Tied By England Nigeria Football Federation supremo Amaju Pinnick is confident of beating the English Football Association in the race for the services of prolific Chelsea product Tammy Abraham.

Pinnick has stated that he has close ties to Tammy's father and is hoping to persuade the striker to represent Nigeria, rather than the Three Lions at senior level.

''We are working on getting Abraham," Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick was quoted as saying by BBC.

''Tammy is like my son. His father and I grew up in the same neighbourhood. So when they talk about him, I just laugh because I know what to do."

That said, allnigeriasoccer.com has been doing some digging and can reveal that Abraham is focused on representing the English youth teams for the time being, and will only consider the Nigeria setup if he is not capped by the Three Lions in future.

A top source close to Tammy Abraham told allnigeriasoccer.com : ''Tammy is waiting in the wings, if he doesn't get a call-up to England's senior team, he will consider Nigeria.

''He doesn't want to lean on Nigeria so much, so that he doesn't miss a call up to the Three Lions.

''The English-born players love what is going on in Nigeria now and if you monitor their social media handles, they are identifying with Nigeria now unlike in the past''.

Camberwell-born Abraham has caps for England at U18, U19 and U21 level but this is not binding until he plays competitively for the Three Lions.
