Ademola Lookman Omitted As Everton Lose 4-0 To Manchester United
Published: September 17, 2017
Manchester United scored a flurry of late goals to beat Everton 4-0 in a Premier League clash at at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
England U20 international of Nigerian descent Ademola Lookman remains out of favour as he failed to make the Toffees match day squad for the second consecutive game in the English top-flight.
At half time, Manchester United had their noses in front thanks to a spectacular strike from Ecuador international Antonio Valencia in the fourth minute.
United found themselves in good positions to extend their lead but were wasteful with Lukaku and Rashford coming close.
The Red Devils had to wait until the 83rd minute for the second goal, Henrik Mkhitaryan scored from close range a minute after Wayne Rooney was substituted.
And they added to it through Romelu Lukaku, who volleyed the ball into the back of the net in the 89th minute, before Anthony Martial scored from the penalty spot to add more gloss to the scoreline in injury time.
Lookman has recorded three appearances for Everton's first team in the current season, all of them coming in the Europa League qualifiers.
