Rohr Keeping Fingers Crossed Over Alex Iwobi Injury

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr is praying that Alex Iwobi will be fit for Nigeria's World Cup qualifier against Zambia next Saturday, but is aware the final word on the availability of the striker will come from Arsenal.
Reading between the lines, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hinted that the Hale End Academy product is not one hundred percent fit yet, stating that the Super Eagle 'might be available for Sunday', meaning there's a more than fifty percent chance he'll figure against Brighton & Hove on Sunday.
''Alex has an injury, but Arsenal doctors are trying to make him fit for Sunday’s game (vs Brighton). So we are waiting for confirmation,'' Rohr told the print edition of Sporting Life.
It is unclear if Iwobi's latest injury is a fresh one or a relapse to the injury that ruled him out of the World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon in September.
What is confirmed is that the 21-year-old did not participate in full training with the Gunners squad ahead of their trip to Belarus for a Europa League fixture against BATE on Thursday as a result of the ailment.
The former England U17 star has earned ten caps for the Super Eagles since his debut in October 2015.
