Chelsea 0 Man City 1 : Moses To Report For Intl Duty In Good Health, Benched
Published: September 30, 2017
Manchester City put up one of the best performances in the Premier League so far this season, beating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The good news for manager Gernot Rohr and the Super Eagles faithful is that Victor Moses was not utilized by Antonio Conte, meaning the Nigeria international will be in good health when he reports for international duty early next week.
Before today's contest, Moses had started all the five matches in which he was named in the Blues 18-man squad.
Manchester City dominated possession in the first half but could not penetrate Chelsea's defense, with Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus and David Silva having the best of their chances.
Kevin de Bruyne scored an absolute belter to give Pep Guardiola's side the lead midway through the second half.
On 84 minutes, Gabriel Jesus had a great chance to double the visitors' advantage, but his effort was cleared off the line by Rudiger.
City youngster Tosin Adarabioyo was not named in the 18-man squad at the home of the champions.
