Chelsea Confirm ANS Exclusive As 'New Obafemi Martins' Is Named In Starting XI
Published: October 13, 2017
As exclusively reported by allnigeriasoccer.com ten days ago, Premier League champions Chelsea are running the rule over talented Nigerian striker Victor Adeboyejo, with a view to signing him.
Victor Adeboyejo has been training with Chelsea's Reserve Team for about two weeks and will be closely monitored when they face Swansea City in a Premier League 2 encounter at Electrical Services Stadium on Friday evening, having made the confirmed starting line-up.
The 19-year-old free agent tried his luck at Barnsley before he started trialing with Chelsea.
Last season, Adeboyejo played 18 games for Leyton Orient's first-team in all competitions and was on target against Hartlepool United in April.
Previously, he defended the colours of Arsenal, AFC Wimbledon, Charlton Athletic, Royston Town and Margate among others.
Victor Adeboyejo, who models his game on ex-Seattle Sounder star Obafemi Martins, has committed his international future to Nigeria ahead of England.
