Everton Legend Royle : Lookman Will Be Aggrieved Not Starting Vs Watford
Published: November 07, 2017
Everton legend Joe Royle reckons that England U21 star of Nigerian descent Ademola Lookman changed the game when he was introduced off the bench in the Premier League encounter against Watford on Sunday.
Lookman impressed in the Toffees' 3-0 loss to Olympique Lyon on November 2 and Royle has opined that the winger will not be happy that he dropped to the bench despite shining in the Europa League.
''The three players made a difference at the weekend, which is all you can ask from your substitutes. They gave us pace and energy,'' said Royle to evertonfc.com.
''Young Ademola will have been slightly aggrieved at not starting after his performance in France. Dominic Calvert-Lewin needed a breather – and will still need resting at times – and made a difference when he came on.
''What more can you ask for? ''
Lookman has nine first-team appearances under his belt in the ongoing season, with five of those games in the Europa League.
