Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool Go To War Over Signing Of Germany Star
Published: November 13, 2017
Leon Goretzka is reportedly courted by Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool after it has all being confirmed that the 22-year old would leave Schalke 04 by the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The German who has established himself as one of best midfielders in Europe is a free agent in the summer and has even turned down a new deal to stay at the Veltins Arena, all with a view of switching to the glamorous Premier League in his fancy.
And it would prove a sensational coup and a good business for any of the sides that manages to get him to sign on the dotted lines, not just because the Confederations Cup winner is a huge talent but also because he is a young prospect and can backed for any future project.
Antonio Conte has viewed Goretzka as a perfect foil for his midfield alongside N'golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko while Klopp has touted the former Bochum starlet as a viable replacement for Emre Can who has been tipped to join Juventus.
The Stamford Bridge outfit and the Reds are not all alone in his pursuit though, with North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham also harbouring hopes of pipping their rivals to his signature though it is understood that he only favours a move to either of the aforementioned clubs.
Goretzka has hugely impressed for both Schalke 04 and Germany in this calendar year, scoring seven goals.
