Portland Timbers GK Of Nigerian Descent Named To United States Roster

Portland Timbers goalkeeper of Nigerian descent Kashope Oladapo has been called up to the United States U17 squad for a training camp ahead of the upcoming annual Nike International Friendlies in Lakeland Ranch, Florida.
The other goalkeepers named to the 24-player roster are Khamari Culcleasure (D.C. United), John Tyler Harms (Whitefish Bay) and Damian Las (Chicago Fire).
The 15-year-old Oladapo is among fifteen players with ties to MLS Academies invited to the national team by US U-17 head coach John Hackworth.
The United States face England on November 29, the Netherlands on December 1 before wrapping up group play against Brazil two days later, and four players will be axed before the start of the mini-tournament.
Kashope Oladapo trained with United Stated U15 team in January 2017.
