Abdullahi Shehu Won't Have Work Permit Problems But Liverpool, Everton NOT Interested
Published: November 26, 2017
It has been wrongly reported by 90MinutesGoal.com and picked by other websites that Merseyside duo Liverpool and Everton are interested in the signature of the Anorthosis Famagusta defender, but that information was angrily dismissed by his camp when contacted on November 22.
''I cannot comment on 'stupid' things coming from agents who don't represent the player,'' Abdullahi Shehu's camp told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''More and more rumours will come and go as fast as they came.''
If we should turn a blind eye to Nigeria's average Fifa ranking over the past two years which prevented Eddy Onazi from joining Birmingham City in the summer, in theory Shehu is eligible to play in the Premier League.
The former Qadsia and União da Madeira ace has featured in 90.9 percent of the Super Eagles competitive games since November 2015.
The Sokoto native is on the wishlist of clubs based in Turkey and the Middle East.
