Manchester United U23s were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City in a Premier League 2 game on Monday night, with two players of Nigerian descent tasting action at Leigh Sports Village Stadium.
Tosin Kehinde (Manchester United) and Layton Ndukwu (Leicester City), both wearing the number 11 jerseys, went the distance for their respective teams and the two teenagers were in fine form.
Gribbin scored from distance to give the young Red Devils the lead on six minutes; Kehinde would have doubled the lead but goalkeeper Bramley saved his shot from outside the box.
Ndukwu came close to netting an equalizer in the 28th minute but his 20-yard free-kick narrowly missed target.
With 13 minutes remaining, the Foxes leveled the game through Josh Knight, and extended their unbeaten run to sixteen games in the process.
Kehinde trained with United's first team last week ahead of their Premier League clash against West Brom, while Ndukwu has been called upon to train with the likes of Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi in the past.
