Report: Cardiff City Interested In Signing Nigerian Messi After Successful Trial
Published: January 04, 2018
EFL Championship outfit Cardiff City are interested in signing the highly-rated Nigerian striker Ogo Obi, and are hoping to conclude the deal in the coming days according to reports.
Teamtalk.com claims Premier League promotion hopefuls Cardiff City are set to announce the signing of former Watford striker Ogo Obi.
The 19-year-old trained with the Bluebirds U23 squad in October and featured against Millwall in the Professional Development League 2 plus the Premier League Cup clash against Blackburn Rovers.
After he was released by Watford at the end of the 2016-2017 campaign, Obi joined National League South outfit Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club at the beginning of this season.
Three years ago, he was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but Watford fended off interest from Old Trafford by offering the talented teenager a pro deal that same year.
