Manchester United Midfielder : My Favourite Team Is Arsenal, I Want To Play There
Published: January 17, 2018
Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he is an Arsenal fan and hopes to play for the club before he hangs up his boots.
The Armenia captain is being linked with a transfer to the Gunners in the January transfer window, with United prepared to use him as a makeweight in the deal bringing Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford.
"My favourite team is Arsenal,'' Mkhitaryan told UEFA's website in 2009.
"I like their attacking play and fast style. Moreover, Arsene Wenger puts faith in young players while demanding results at the same time.
"I like that and want to play there one day."
The former Borussia Dortmund, Shakhtar Donetsk and Metalurh Donetsk star joined Manchester United in 2016 and has played 63 matches for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists.
