Tolaji Bola & Amaechi Provide Assists In Arsenal U23 3-1 Win Vs Sunderland
Published: January 28, 2018
Two Nigerian youngsters in the shape of Xavier Amaechi and Tolaji Bola laid on goals for their Arsenal U23 teammates in their 3-1 win over Sunderland U23s in the Premier League 2 on Sunday afternoon.
Pacy winger, Amaechi set up Emile Smith Rowe for the game opener at the Eppleton Colliery Football Ground after 24 minutes before John Jules doubled the visitors lead 10 minutes later with a solo.
Elliot Embleton pulled one back four minutes after the hour mark to threaten a nervy closing but Bola had other ideas, teeing up John Jules for the third goal to make sure of the points and move the young Gunners joint-second with Leicester City in the youth division.
Folarin Balogun who started on the bench for Arsenal would come on for the last ten minutes after replacing two-goal hero, John Jules while Tobi Omole would not be granted game time in the encounter.
Both Amaechi and Bola were in action for the entire duration of the game.
