Victor Adeboyejo Scores Brace For Barnsley U23 In Front Of Man Utd, Man City Scouts
Published: February 03, 2018
Victor Adeboyejo scored twice for Barnsley U23s in their 4-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest U23s in the Professional
Development League on Friday evening.
According to Nottingham Post, scouts representing Manchester United and Manchester City were among the spectators that watched the game at the Impact Arena.
The ex-Chelsea trialist stepped up to send the Forest goalkeeper, Tim Erlandsson the wrong way from the spot in the 5th minute after Alex Lacovitti had given the opposition the lead inside the opening minute of the game.
The 20-year old would then complete a swift turnaround within the first 20 minutes, prodding home another goal to notch his double and make it 2-1.
But his heroics were short lived as the hosts scored thrice in a rousing second half through Lewis Walters and Virgil Gomis (2) to consign their opponents to defeat.
Adeboyejo joined Barnsley in November last year and would be looking to build on his new found goal scoring form.
Up next for Barnsley is a Premier League Cup clash against Everton on February 12.
