Leicester 1 Swansea City 1: Skillful Iheanacho Bags Assist, Ndidi's Goal Chalked Off
Published: February 03, 2018
Leicester City were forced to a dour 1-1 draw by Swansea City in a Premier League encounter at the King Power Stadium.
Super Eagles stars, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho started for the Foxes in the encounter while Chelsea loaneeTammy Abraham was named among the substitutes for Swansea.
It took barely 17 minutes for Iheanacho to stamp his foot on the game, leaving two Swans defenders for dead with a piece of skill before laying through for Jamie Vardy who finished with aplomb to open the scoring.
From there on, Leicester City completely dominated the first half proceedings which saw Alfie Mawson produce a spectacular block to deny Iheanacho, whilst the offside flag ruled out Wilfred Ndidi's cool finish.
But Federico Fernandez levelled the scores eight minutes after the restart when he got onto the end of a Ki Sung Yeung's corner delivery to send a headed finish in.
Both sides would then have to settle for a point apiece afterwards though Claude Puel's side had looked the more likely to grab maximum points from the encounter.
