Victor Moses Granted Permission Not To Train With Chelsea Until Friday
Published: February 06, 2018
Nigeria star Victor Moses will not train with Chelsea until Friday, February 9.
According to Evening Standard, manager Antonio Conte decided to give his Chelsea players an extra two days off this morning in the wake of their humiliating 4-1 defeat to Watford on Monday night.
Chelsea's next game is against West Brom on Monday, but this is the first time a week has passed between matches since November.
Conte has made that decision despite the poor performance of the players yesterday against Watford because of fatigue.
This season, eight Chelsea players including two former England U17 internationals of Nigerian descent Ross Barkley and Victor Moses have suffered hamstring injuries.
The future of Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge has been up in the air following back to back defeats against Bournemouth and Watford in which the defending Premier League champions conceded seven goals.
Moses made his 23rd appearance of the season against the Hornets.
