Eagles Young Striker Finishes Third In Youdan Trophy Goal Of The Tournament
Published: February 06, 2018
Crystal Palace's young Nigerian striker Josh Ajayi finished in third position in the 2017 Youdan Trophy Goal Of The Tournament, the organizers have announced.
The Eagles U18 whizkid accumulated 13.2 percent of the votes which was not enough for him to win the accolade.
Lewis Warrington's 30-yard screamer was voted Youdan Trophy 2017 U16's Fans Goal of the Tournament; FC Basel's Sébastien Moulin was second with 19.3 percent of the votes.
Ajayi plays primarily as a center forward and he made his U18 debut for Crystal Palace in that position last season.
He has been offered a scholarship deal by the London club ahead of the 2018-2019 season.
Emmanuel Okorougo, Tariq Ossai, Will Ozono and Joseph Hungbo, who all have Nigerian blood flowing in their veins play for the U18 team of Crystal Palace.
Hungbo is Crystal Palace's top scorer at U18 level with 11 goals to his name.
