Nigerian Yaya Toure Refuses To Be Loaned Out By Malmo
Published: February 07, 2018
Innocent Bonke has reacted to speculation linking him with a temporary exit from Swedish Allsvenskan side Malmo before the start of the season.
Signed from Lillestrom in Norway in August 2017, the central midfielder, who has been likened to Manchester City's Yaya Toure, has struggled to break into Malmo's first team, making only one start last season.
''It was a bigger change than I thought to come here ,'' said Bonke to Kvällsposten.
''It is harder to come in during the summer when the season is in progress. Now it feels like I'm better aware of how the coach wants me and the team to play
''I'm not going to give up here. I will fight for every training and hopefully it will give a dividend.''
Malmo acquired Bonke for around 800,000 euros and he's contracted to the club until the end of the 2021 season.
