Leicester City Star Wilfred Ndidi Reacts To Liverpool Link
Published: February 13, 2018
Wilfred Ndidi and his camp have reacted to speculation in the media linking the central midfielder with a transfer from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
Ndidi is supposedly a top transfer target for Liverpool but the Nigeria international did not waste time to dismiss the reports when contacted.
It is claimed that the Reds are prepared to pay more than £50 million to land the signature of the Foxes number 25.
''This is not true. Liverpool have not contacted the player nor Leicester City. No bid has been received,'' Ndidi's representative told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Liverpool have already struck terms with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for the future transfer of Naby Keita, and the central midfielder will join the Anfield outfit on July 1.
In the current season, Ndidi has won the most tackles in the Premier League, averaging 4.2 per game.
The 21-year-old is contracted to Leicester City until the end of the 2021-2022 season.
