Bad News For Victor Moses As Key Barcelona Midfielder Returns To Training
Published: March 12, 2018Barcelona have been handed a massive injury boost ahead of their Champions League meeting with Chelsea at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night with Andres Iniesta returning to training.
The Spain international is set to be available for selection, with the La Liga table-toppers confirming via their official website that he was able to join the rest of the group for part of today’s session after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained against Atlético Madrid.
This will be bad news for Victor Moses as the right wing-back will directly come face-to-face with Iniesta, who is expected to line up on the left hand side of Barcelona's midfield.
Having said that, the Blaugrana captain was relatively kept quiet by the Nigeria international in the first leg tie at Stamford Bridge until the 75th minute when he provided the assist for Messi's equalizer.
Against Crystal Palace this past weekend, Moses was presumably rested by manager Antonio Conte to keep him fresh for the intriguing clash against Iniesta and co.
The 27-year-old will make his 14th appearance in European competitions if he figures against Barcelona.
Chelsea must score against Barcelona to stand a chance of advancing to the last eight after they were forced to a 1-1 draw in London on February 20.
