Arsenal, Manchester City, Barcelona To Watch Super Eagles Star Against Galatasaray
Published: March 26, 2018
Super Eagles assistant captain Eddy Onazi would have an opportunity to display his wares to top European teams after the last international break of the 2017-2018 season.
Turkish outlet Gunebakis writes on its electronic edition that representatives from Arsenal, Manchester City, Monaco, Schalke 04, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid will be present at the Türk Telekom Stadyumu (İstanbul) to watch the Turkish Super Lig fixture between Galatasaray and Trabzonspor on April 1.
It has been suggested that the aforementioned teams will be in the stands to run the rule over Onazi's teammate Yusuf Yazıcı but the Nigerian can still catch the eye of these clubs so long as he features in the match.
The My People FC product was linked with a switch to Championship outfit Birmingham City last summer, only for the proposed move to fall through due to an issue with his work permit.
For the same reason, the central midfielder missed out on a move to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur after the 2009 Fifa U17 World Cup, before he was acquired by Italian club Lazio.
This season, Onazi has played 17 matches in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
