Former Cameroon international Lauren Etame Meyer has opined that Nigeria and Arsenal star Alex Iwobi can be one of the key players to help the Gunners lift the Europa League.
Arsenal will tonight welcome Ahmed Musa and his CSKA Moscow teammates in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinals at the Emirates at 8.05pm Nigerian time.
"The club (Arsenal) need the players to be fit. Alex can be one of the club's most important players as they hope to win the Europa League.
"He's doing well. Playing in an institution like Arsenal is not easy. Sometimes it can be difficult for the youngsters," the former midfielder turned right back who was a member of the Arsenal Invincibles that won the 2004/2005 season without a defeat told Barclay Premier League Football Today.
Lauren who faced Iwobi's uncle and former Nigeria captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha in the final of the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations in Lagos further stated how Iwobi can be one of the best players in the English Premier League.
"Iwobi needs to adapt himself to different positions at the club in order to become one of the best players in the English Premier League.
"If he can play the way he played against Argentina in the international friendly, he can be one of the best in the EPL.
''He can play in the number10 role behind the striker or from the wings," Lauren offered.
