Leboeuf Accuses Super Eagles Winger Moses, Other Chelsea Stars of Undermining Conte
Published: April 06, 2018
Chelsea right wingback Victor Moses and his club teammates have come under scathing criticism from former defender Frank Leboeuf who believes the players may be playing poorly in order to have manager Antonio Conte sacked.
Leboeuf who is now an actor after retiring from football bared his mind to SFR Sport ahead of the Blues' Premier League game against West Ham United this weekend.
''It’s a lack of respect for the fans and the club, both on the manager’s part, because he’s already packed his bags, but also from the players,'' Leboeuf said to SFR Sport
"The Blues cruised to the Premier League title last season, but things have taken a very different turn in the current campaign.
Frenchman Leboeuf who was part of France's 1998 World Cup conquest adds that fans have been disrespected by both Conte and the players,
"We saw it with Mourinho, it seemed like some of the players were almost losing on purpose so the manager can get sacked as quickly as possible.
''I knew a team that was hungry for trophies, wanted to win. Now, it doesn’t seem that way. One year you win the league, the next it’s a mess.''
As many as nine Chelsea players have reportedly been named as likely to be departing Stamford Bridge at the end of the season with Nigeria's Moses not in danger of facing the exit door.
