Manchester United Release Promising Goalkeeper Johnstone
Published: April 10, 2018
Manchester United have bid farewell to promising goalkeeper Max Johnstone, according to reports.
The Guardian UK has claimed that Max Johnstone has recently been released by United after a couple of years.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Championship club Cardiff City, having recently trained with their U23 team.
Preston-born Johnstone is departing Manchester United without making a single appearance for the first-team and didn't feature for the U23 team in the league this season.
Max Johnstone's sibling Sam is on the books of Manchester United but is spending this season on loan at Aston Villa, where he's the first-choice goalie.
Max joined United from Fleetwood Town in September 2016 following a successful trial.
