Ex-Arsenal Winger Nathan Tella At The Double For Southampton
Published: April 14, 2018
Ex-Arsenal youth-teamer Nathan Tella scored twice to inspire Southampton U23s to a 2-0 victory over Fulham U23s in a Premier League 2 clash at the Motspur Park on Friday evening.
The 18-year old winger who started alongside compatriot, Michael Obafemi for the young Saints gave his side a first minute lead before sealing victory with another effort eight minutes from time.
Southampton attacker Olufela Olomola was one of the substitutes who was not utilised for the game.
Starring in action for the hosts who finished play with nine men were Adetayo Edun and Elijah Adebayo, both of who logged the full ninety.
Elsewhere, Aramide Oteh's strike was not enough to save Queen Park Rangers U23s from a 2-1 defeat to Leeds United U23s at the Elland Road.
The Tottenham Hotspur Academy product opened scoring for Rangers after 38 minutes but saw his heroics ultimately cut short as the hosts came roaring back to victory courtesy of an Alejandro Machuca's double.
