Southampton Warned To Be Wary Of Ndidi: He's Very Combative But Can Play

Leicester Mercury football writer Rob Tanner believes Wilfred Ndidi is one of the key players in the Foxes squad and has warned Southampton to be wary of the Nigeria international ahead of their Premier League meeting at the King Power Stadium on Thursday.
The central midfielder has finished serving a two-game ban imposed by the FA after he was sent off at Brighton & Hove and in his absence Leicester City struggled, losing back-to-back games against Newcastle United and Burnley.
''Vardy’s in fine goalscoring form, with ten in 12 in all competitions. He’s the main man who leads the line, and when Leicester score, it tends to be him,'' Rob Tanner told Southampton's official website.
''Mahrez is the creative spark, and, if both of them click on the same day, Leicester are a strong side. If one or the other clicks, they’re a decent side; when neither of them click, the team’s struggling.
''They have got another player coming back from suspension, Wilfred Ndidi, who’s been a revelation this season.
''He’s only 21, he’s very combative and athletic, but he can play as well. His return will give Leicester a big boost.''
Ndidi started all Leicester City's matches in the Premier League before he was suspended but he is still searching for his first goal after 31 games.
