FCM's Paul Onuachu, Orebro's Igboananike Score As Clubs Claim Wins
Published: May 07, 2018
At the MCH Arena in the Danish Superliga, Paul Onuachu reached double figures for goals in just 19 appearances for his club, Midtjylland after scoring in their 2-1 win over Nordsjælland.
The former Nigeria U-23 invitee struck a minute shy of the hour mark to double his side's lead and seal the victory after his teammate, Bubacarr Sanneh had shot The Wolves in front in the 14th minute.
He made way for Bozhidar Kraev just after his goal while his compatriot teammate, young midfielder Frank Onyeka was in action for the hosts throughout the game.
Elsewhere, Kennedy Igboananike scored twice for Orëbro in a 4-2 victory over Sirius in a Swedish Allsvenskan clash at the Studenternas IP stadium.
The striker was teed up by his Nigerian teammate, Michael Omoh to open the scoring with just five minutes on the clock before grabbing his second in the 57th minute courtesy of a Nahir Besara assist.
Omoh would yet turn provider for Filip Rogic to net their third of the evening before Besara rounded off a good outing with another goal eight minutes from time.
For Igboananike who was replaced by another Nigerian youngster, Isaac Boye in the 85th minute, the goals were his fourth and his second successive double in seven league appearances for the club this term.
