Flying Eagles Star Wins Bournemouth Youth Team Player Of The Season Award
Published: May 08, 2018
Nigeria U20 international Nnamdi Ofoborh has been recognized for his outstanding performance this season after winning Bournemouth's Youth Team Player of the Season prize at the club's end of season awards.
Born 7th November 1999, Ofoborh is highly thought of by Cherries first-team coach Eddie Howe, who named the teenager in a provisional squad list for the Premier League match against Swansea City on November 25, but missed out on the 18-man match day squad.
He has also trained with Bournemouth's first-teamers several times this season and has been tipped to make his competitive debut in the not too distant future.
In December 2017, Ofoborh signed his first professional contract which will keep him at the Vitality Stadium outfit until the end of the 2019-20 season.
He played in this season's FA Youth Cup and turned out for the reserve team in the Central League.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall starlet has committed his international future to Nigeria over England, and made his debut for the Flying Eagles in an international friendly against Egypt two months ago.
