Jordan Aina Starts As Chelsea Are Beaten 3-1 By Anderlecht In Pre-Season Friendly

English champions, Chelsea U18s suffered defeat in their latest pre-season friendly after they were beaten 3-1 by Belgian side Anderlecht on Sunday, July 29.

The Chelsea teamsheet contained fifteen players, with Jordan Aina, Ola Aina's sibling, named in the starting lineup.

After four minutes, it was 1-0 Anderlecht courtesy of Doku's strike and they doubled their advantage in the 20th minute when Timassi tapped home a rebound.

In the second half, Daskevic increased the home team's lead in the 68th minute but Nynn brought some respectability to the scoreline when he scored Chelsea's only goal with 13 minutes left on the clock.

Jordan Aina, who played for Chelsea U16 team last season, is poised to make his competitive debut for the Young Blues in the 2018-2019 campaign after penning a two-year scholarship with effect from July 1.

A defender by trade, Aina has played for England at U16 level.
