A round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective clubs in the English Premier League on Saturday, August 11th.
Nigerian players with dual nationalities and have played competitively for the senior national teams of other countries have been omitted.
In the lunchtime kick off at the St. James Park, Newcastle fell to a narrow 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, courtesy of goals which came from Jan Vertoghen and Dele Alli either side of Joselu's effort for the Magpies.
Young Nigerian midfielder, Luke Amos made his Premier League debut for Spurs after he was summoned in place of Eric Dier in the closing stages of the game.

Over to the Vicarage Road and it was Ricardo Pereyra who proved the thorn in the flesh for Brighton with a brace in Watford's 2-0 win.
For the Hornets, Isaac Success came on for Andre Gray after 74 minutes while Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun will not come off the bench for his Premier League bow.
