Three Nigerian Starlets On Target As Manchester United Put On A Show In Hong Kong

A brilliant performance from three Nigerian starlets helped Manchester United U16s beat Hong Kong FA Academy U17 6-1 in their opening game of the 2nd Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit in Hong Kong.
United took the lead in the 12th minute thanks to Mipo Odubeko's left-footed strike and he doubled the advantage off an assist from Deji Sotona in the 27th minute.
On the half-hour mark, the highly-rated winger Shola Shoretire, who has been tipped for big things at the Old Trafford outfit, made it 3-0 from close range after he was assisted by Sotona.
In the second half, Sotona turned from provider to scorer when he got on the score-sheet to make it 4-1 and he netted his second of the evening in injury time.
He claimed the man-of-the-match award thanks to his stunning display, having been directly involved in four of the goals scored by Manchester United.
Sotona went the distance while Odubeko and Shoretire were substituted in the 63rd and 71st minute respectively.
In their next game, United will face off with Hong Kong District All-Stars and a win will see them qualify for the final of the competition.
