Nigerian Midfielder Returns To Tottenham Hotspur Training Pre-Fulham
Published: August 16, 2018
Nigerian midfielder Josh Onomah has resumed training with Tottenham Hotspur's first team ahead of their Premier League clash against Fulham on Saturday, August 17.
The dual-eligible Onomah, who is an England U21 international, was left out of Spurs' pre-season trip to the United States last month, fueling speculation that he would be loaned out as at that time, but it later emerged that he had been suffering from an undisclosed ailment.
With the attacking midfielder back in training, he is in contention to make Tottenham's 18-man squad vs Fulham and it would be his 14th appearance in the Premier League if he gets to play.
The 21-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Aston Villa, registering 4 goals with three assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
Onomah was a key member of the Young Lions squad that lifted the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea last summer.
Apart from Onomah, there is also the possibility that managerĀ Pochettino will include Luke Amos in his match day squad to face the Cottagers.
