Former Nigeria U23 international Umar Sadiq on Saturday quelled the rumours of his intention of leaving Scottish Premiershiip top side Rangers in the January transfer window.
Reports in some sections of the media have linked the beanpole forward with a winter departure from his club managed by former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
"It's too soon to talk about movements. I am here to play football and I know it won't be easy. Its a privilege to work with a living legend like Steven Gerrard," Sadiq told Supersport.
"I'm working hard in trainings and we're doing the right things. Its just too early to talk about leaving. Let's just see how the future turns out," the Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medalist concluded.
Umar has only played in one SPFL game this 2018/2019 season and was unsurprisingly not listed on Saturday as his club defeated Dundee 4-0 at the Ibrox Stadium.
He enjoyed a successful loan spell at NAC Breda in the second half
of last season, scoring 5 goals ( 3 assists) in 12 Eredivisie matches.
