'Nigerian Iniesta' Ends Speculation Over Future By Signing New CS Sfaxien Contract
Published: September 25, 2018Nigeria international Kingsley Sokari has ended speculation about his future after extending his contract with Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 side Club Sportif Sfaxien.
The attacking midfielder has penned a new deal that will keep him at the Juventus of the Arabs until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Sokari's previous agreement with CS Sfaxien would have expired in June 2019 if he had not extended his stay.
The 23-year-old, who has been labelled the New Iniesta in his homeland, had been linked with possible moves to Russian and Gulf clubs as well as Etoile du Sahel and Esperance in Tunisia.
He has started all the matches played by CS Sfaxien in the new season and was on target in their last game with ES Metlaoui.
A product of Port Harcourt City Academy, he has not played for the Super Eagles since the appointment of Gernot Rohr as coach.
