Kanu Cup: Kanu, Saha, Pirès, Essien, Yakubu Among The Scorers In 13-Goal Thriller With Wenger Watching

Premier League Masters thrashed African Masters 9-4 in the Petrolex Kanu Cup 2018 game staged at the Hive Stadium on Sunday, September 30, with former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger among the spectators.
Former Nigeria internationals Nwankwo Kanu, Christoper Kanu, Danny Shittu, Peter Odemwingie, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Daniel Amokachi were part of the African Masters squad.
Premier League legends William Gallas, Steve McManaman, Robert Pirès and Louis Saha were among the stars on parade for Premier League Masters.
Ex-Liverpool midfielder David Thompson and ex-Chelsea star William Gallas struck to earn the Premier League Masters a two-goal lead but Lomana LuaLua gave the Africans hope when he halved the deficit before the interval.
In the second half, Manchester United legend Saha and Arsenal hero Robert Pirès bagged braces, Kanu, who had switched sides in the second half made it 7-2, plus Omer Riza's goal gave the Premier League Masters a comprehensive win in the end.
Former Chelsea ace Michael Essien, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and LuaLua netted for the African team in the second stanza.
The charity game, which was organized by Kanu Heart Foundation, was held to raise money to build a new cardiac center in Nigeria which can take care of kids with heart conditions.
