Published: October 20, 2018Premier League side Watford write on their official website that they have reached agreement with Brazilian club Fluminense to sign exciting young talent João Pedro.
A striker by trade, Pedro is expected to provide competition for Super Eagles star Isaac Success and Stefano Okaka if the duo remain at the Hornets.
The teenager's five-year agreement with Watford will be activated in January 2020 when he clocks eighteen.
João Pedro has netted 31 goals in his age category for Fluminense youth team including 22 in the Carioca.
Success is behind club captain Troy Deeney and Andre Gray in manager Javi Gracia's pecking order of strikers but has been utilized off the bench in all the games played by Watford in the English topflight this season.
As for Okaka, he has not appeared in the Premier League due to fitness issues and has not been included in the 18 for their eight games.
Both Success and Okaka have contracts with Watford until June 30, 2021.
