Qabala's Adeniyi Scores Twice, Provides Assist In Fine Individual Display
Published: October 21, 2018Qabala defeated league leaders Neftçi 3-1 on game week eight in the Azerbaijani Premyer Liqa on Saturday, with Nigerian striker James Adeniyi netting a brace.
Adeniyi opened the scoring in the 14th minute when he tapped in from close range after an inviting pass from Joseph-Monrose.
Thirteen minutes into the second half, the number seventeen turned provider, slipping a lovely pass for Joseph-Monrose to score his team's second goal.
The pick of the goals in the game staged at Şəher Stadium (Qabala) was the third goal which was scored by Adeniyi in the 77th minute, he curled the ball home from inside the penalty area to increase the lead.
The 25-year-old has been involved in 6 goals (3 goals, 3 assists) in eight games in the Azerbaijani Premyer Liqa so far this season.
FK Tomori Berat, FK Bylis Ballsh, KF Laçi and KF Skënderbeu are the teams he represented before moving to Qabala in June 2018.
