Nigeria Target Lookman Comes Off Bench To Inspire Everton To Win Against The Eagles
Nigeria Football Federation target Ademola Lookman came off the bench to inspire Everton to a late victory against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Sunday evening.

The Toffees manager Marco Silva sent on the England U21 star in the 82nd minute as replacement for Theo Walcott, the winger's third appearance off the bench in this season's Premier League.

Five minutes after the introduction of Lookman, Everton moved into a 1-0 lead through a Dominic Calvert-Lewin header after he was set up by the English-born Nigerian.

Everton's late pressure was rewarded again when Cenk Tosun put the ball in the net to make it 2-0.

Barring an injury, Lookman is expected to feature for England at next summer's European U21 Championship in Italy and San Marino, around the same period the Super Eagles would be competing for honours at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Next up for Lookman and his Everton teammates is a testing trip to face Manchester United.
