Super Eagles Winger Samuel Kalu Catches The Eye Of Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton, Leicester
Published: October 29, 2018Samuel Kalu put himself in the shop window in Sunday's French Ligue 1 tie between Bordeaux and Nice at Stade Matmut-Atlantique.
According to Scouts In Attendance, at least five Premier clubs posted their scouts to run the rule over the top players on both teams including Chelsea, Wolves, Leicester City, Everton and Newcastle United.
With seven goals in 11 league matches, Bordeaux' Francois Kamano is being linked with a transfer to the English Premier League in the January transfer window, the Guinean left winger and Kalu were among the most impressive players on the pitch.
Having come off the bench against FC Nantes and HSC Montpellier, and overlooked for selection vs Stade Reims, the Nigeria international made his first start for Bordeaux in four Ligue 1 matches against Nice.
Bordeaux were first to go close in the second half through Samuel Kalu with a shot from just outside the area but it was Nice's Wylan Cyprien who netted the winner on 54 minutes.
The former Gent star attempted four shots, made six key passes and won five aerial duels, according to stats from OPTA.
Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla, Villarreal and AS Roma scouts were also at the game.
