EFL Trophy Forest Green Rovers 1 Arsenal 3: Nigerian Winger Wins Penalty, Provides Assist
Bukayo Saka was impressive for Arsenal U21s as they got back to winning ways by beating Forest Green Rovers 3-1 in a Checkatrade Trophy tie staged at The New Lawn (Nailsworth, Gloucestershire) on Wednesday evening.

Apart from the England U18 star, Tolaji Bola and James Olayinka were the other players of Nigerian descent named in the Gunners starting lineup.

Saka won a penalty after a stunning solo run and the spot kick was converted by Joseph Willock in the 41st minute.

Two minutes to the end of the first half, Willock doubled Arsenal's lead with Saka providing the assist.

James Olayinka missed a glorious opportunity to restore the Gunners two-goal cushion in the 80th minute after Grubb had halved the deficit.

Folarin Balogun replaced Saka in the 90th minute, five minutes after John-Jules scored to make it 3-1.

Following their second win in the Southern Group E, Arsenal have advanced to the second round of the EFL Trophy.
