Precocious Nigerian Striker Goes Home With Match Ball After Netting Hat-Trick For Lincoln City

Precocious Nigerian striker Jordan Adebayo-Smith netted a hat-trick as Lincoln City fended off South Shields 4-2 in a FA Youth Cup clash at Sincil Bank on Tuesday.
The Imps U18 side have been rewarded with a trip to West Bromwich Albion in the next round of the prestigious competition.
Lincoln City led 2-0 at the interval courtesy of goals from Duncan Idehen and Adebayo-Smith.
They deservedly took the lead in the 22nd minute when Idehen nodded home a corner before Adebayo-Smith kept his cool to double the lead eight minutes before half-time.
On 56 minutes, the the East Soccer Base Academy product handed Lincoln City a 3-0 lead when he scored from close range after a free-kick was not properly cleared by the opposition before tallying his third in the 68th minute.
Born in California, Adebayo-Smith is eligible to represent the USA,
England and Nigeria but has no caps for the three nations at the moment.
He has made the bench for the first team four times this season when they faced Mansfield Town, Scunthorpe United and Wolves U23 in the EFL Trophy and Cambridge United in the League Two.
