NFF Expect Victor Moses To Depart Chelsea In January, To Hold Talks With Winger In London
Published: November 15, 2018
Second Vice-President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Shehu Dikko, has revealed that the NFF are planning to travel to London for talks with Chelsea winger Victor Moses over his decision to quit the Super Eagles at the age of 27.
Dikko stated that Super Eagles still need Moses in their ranks and went on to predict that Chelsea number 15 will bid farewell to The Blues in the January transfer window, permanently or on a temporary basis, due to his lack of playing opportunities.
''We plan to visit him very soon and have another chat with him. He is part of us, everybody knows that he is a brilliant player, he can play anywhere,'' Dikko said.
''He is not playing because he is a bad player, he is not playing because the tactics the team are adopting does not suit him.
''In the old system they were playing, Moses was indispensable, now another coach has come with another system.

''Hopefully by January he'll get himself sorted, we still need him.''
If Moses makes a U-turn and rescinds his decision to quit international football, Dikko says this will give manager Gernot Rohr more options in attack.
''We need as much as possible enough competition in the national team, the coach (Rohr) needs to have a lot of headache in choosing the first eleven.
''If you have that kind of headache it means you have a good team, you can see now we have injuries and nobody is panicking,'' concluded Dikko.
Moses was among five Nigerian players named to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament, the others being Vincent Enyeama, Efe Ambrose, John Obi Mikel and Emmanuel Emenike.
