Highly-Rated Striker Who Broke Messi's La Liga Record To Rival Isaac Success At Watford
Venezuela international Adalberto Peñaranda has received a work permit which has paved the way for him to make his competitive debut for Premier League side Watford.

that Peñaranda has committed his long-term future to the Hornets by signing a new five-year contract.

A striker by trade, the 21-year-old will provide competition for Nigerian attackers Isaac Success and Stefano Okaka.

In December 2015, Peñaranda became the youngest foreign player to score a brace in La Liga aged 18 years and 195 days, breaking Lionel Messi’s previous record.

While Isaac Success has been involved in all the fourteen games played by Watford in all competitions so far this season and has started the last four Premier League matches, Okaka has found first team opportunities limited, making only one appearance off the bench in the English topflight.

Watford acquired Success in July 2016, five months after the signing of Peñaranda.
