Ex-Chelsea And Tottenham Legends Praise, Blast Balogun For Performance Vs Crystal Palace
Published: December 06, 2018
Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur legends Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Tim Sherwood on Thursday gave their opinions on Leon Balogun's impact in Brighton and Hove's 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in their Premier League fixture on Tuesday.
"Unbelievable" was the reaction of Tim Sherwood, a former Tottenham Hotspur manager on Premier League Today in reference to Balogun's goal just moments after replacing Shane Duffy after the latter's sending off.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink whilst analysing the game wondered why the Nigerian protested the referee's decision to hand the Eagles a penalty after he fouled Wilfred Zaha inside the box.
"That was a penalty. I don't know what he was pointing at. I don't understand. He brought him (Zaha) in the box."
The game was Balogun's fourth Premier League game of the season for the Seagulls with 231 minutes of action to his credit.
