Bad News For Leicester City As Knee Injury Makes Wilfred Ndidi A Doubt To Face Chelsea
Published: December 20, 2018Wilfred Ndidi is an injury doubt to suit up for Leicester City when they tackle Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, December 22.
Though the central midfielder completed Tuesday's League Cup defeat to Manchester City, it has come to light that the Nigeria international had to play through the pain barrier.
Providing an injury update ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge, manager Claude Puel told the Foxes official website :''We will see tomorrow if he can play or not.
''It’s about his knee, he received a fall against him. He finished the game, but with pain, so we’ll see if he can participate.''
The 22-year-old Ndidi has started and gone the distance in all the matches contested by Leicester City in the Premier League this term, with the exception of their 1-1 draw at Brighton.
Ndidi's international teammate Kelechi Iheanacho is in contention to travel to the capital while Victor Moses remains out of favour at Chelsea.
