Round up of the Nigeria-eligible players that were on target for their English Football League clubs on Wednesday, December 26.

In the Championship, relegation-threatened Bolton Wanderers earned a massive three points after beating Semi Ajayi's Rotherham United 2-1 at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Former Flying Eagles striker Sammy Ameobi opened the scoring with a low drive from just outside the area which beat goalkeeper Rodák, taking his tally to three goals from 12 games in the process.

In League Two, Jabo Ibehre's late goal, assisted by former Liverpool starlet David Amoo, earned Cambridge United a 2-1 win vs Crawley Town at the Abbey Stadium.

The 35-year-old tapped in from almost on the line to put the hosts ahead with two minutes remaining.

At Jonny-Rocks Stadium in Gloucestershire, MK Dons suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season as they were beaten 3-1 by  Cheltenham Town.

Former Arsenal youth-teamer Chuks Aneke headed the visitors level in the 22nd minute, his 11th goal in all competitions so far this season.
